Core Advantages

Consistent mounting height - A thickness tolerance of ±0.01 mm and opposing-face parallelism within 0.01 mm control the relationship between the two mounting faces. In fixture stacks with fixed-height locating elements, this limits height variation introduced by the base plate.

Smooth mating surfaces - Ground faces reach Ra 0.4 μm. Where a fixture block or mounting pad bears directly against the plate, the fine surface texture reduces pronounced machining ridges at the contact interface.

Reduced movement from residual stress - Stress relief and tempering reduce internal stress in the steel plate. This limits stress-driven movement when the plate is released from machining fixtures and subsequently installed beneath clamped tooling.

Custom Flat Ground Plates

We manufacture from approved component drawings or reference parts, translating the required geometry into a rough-machining and finish-grinding sequence. Machining stock is reserved on the working faces so that the final grinding operation follows the preceding cutting operations.

Quality Control

Inspection begins from the datum faces identified on the drawing. First-piece checks establish the locating-hole pattern and its relationship to those reference faces before repeat machining proceeds.
During grinding, thickness is checked at multiple positions and surface texture is measured with a roughness meter. Face measurements distinguish local surface condition from the relationship between the opposing planes.
Every finished plate is inspected before packing, including edges, mounting features, and visible surface damage. Inspection records identify the part number and drawing revision, with third-party inspection accepted before dispatch.
